Abortion and America's Future 05/03/09

 

Our society has abdicated the battle of moral clarity when it comes to the innocence of our children.  America is afflicted with and suffering from a “moral attention deficit disorder”.  Unfortunately there is no ADD type pill we can take to heal our land.

 

Fifty million abortions have been performed in America since the US Supreme Court determined a fetus is not a “person” and therefore not due the customary rights guaranteed by the US Constitution.  I submit to you that under this ruling the Supreme Court ushered in a “culture of death”.

 

As a result of what many experts consider to be an unconstitutional decision, we are, for all intents and purposes, witnessing the suicide of western society and the ultimate destruction of our country through a self inflicted act of genocide cloaked in the form of legalized abortion.

 

The estimated number of 50 million abortions performed in America is, in my humble opinion, an inaccurate account when one calculates the total loss from the probable future birth lines.  Consider that for generations we have been aborting baby boys and girls who under normal circumstances would grow up, marry, become productive citizens and future couples who would in turn, have children of their own.

 

When scrutinizing the long-term effects of these 50 million abortions, we as a society must also consider the subsequent absent births from these lost generations.  Extrapolate the numbers and we must take into account millions of additional babies not included in the official 50 million lost souls.

Wednesday night President Obama carefully side-stepped a very divisive issue when he distanced himself from the Freedom of Choice Act waiting to be introduced by the House of Representatives.  It is pertinent to recognize Obama was one of 19 co-sponsors of this bill while a senator.
In 2007 when asked at a Planned Parenthood meeting what he would do as president to make sure abortion remains legal, he replied "the first thing I'd do as president is sign the Freedom of Choice Act”.

 

If passed, the bill would guarantee that abortion remains legal even if Roe v. Wade is someday overturned.  The bill also would overturn most, if not all, federal and state regulations on abortion, including waiting periods, parental notifications and the horrific partial-birth abortion procedure.

 

Side-stepping the issue does not by any means indicate Obama has had a change of heart or for that matter seen the light regarding abortion.
It simply indicates his socialistic agenda plate is full and there are issues of higher importance regarding his desire to, as he stated, “remake America.”

 

Consider Obama’s anti-life, anti-family nomination for his Health and Human Services Secretary…Kansas Governor Katherine Sebelius.  The governor has on numerous occasions been the recipient of large donations from the notorious late–term abortion doctor George Tiller who is best known for performing abortions in the ninth month.  Yes, the ninth month, as in days away from an innocent and breathing child.  I do not understand how one could argue that a baby in the ninth month of gestation can be disposed of.  (Perhaps a harsh depiction, but accurate in its characterization).

 

Secondly, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton admitted that an Obama administration goal is to spread “reproductive rights" throughout the world. Keith Mason, head of Personhood USA <http://www.personhoodusa.com/> , believes reproductive rights are code words for abortion.

 

Now think about the fact that just last week the abortion inducing drug
RU486 (also know as the morning after pill) was approved for girls as young as 17 years of age without a prescription.

 

RU486, a French pharmaceutical, is a controversial drug that has fast-tracked through the US Food and Drug Administration.  For some unknown reason it was not subjected to the same rigorous and time-consuming evaluation all drugs are generally required to undergo.

 

I wonder why?

 

The drug RU486 has in fact been responsible for many serious health issues and numerous deaths since its release.  Unfortunately with society’s current view of life, or the lack of respect for life, our government considers the unfortunate deaths due to the use of RU486 to be an acceptable cost / benefit consequence.  Tell that to the parent of a deceased or sickened daughter.  Tell that to the parents of a confused girl who wasn’t aware their daughter was getting life and death advice from a Planned Parenthood counselor.

 

Yes Planned Parenthood, the taxpayer-subsidized organization that is now a major financial benefactor of the non-prescribed distribution of RU486.  Planned Parenthood, a billion dollar industry that continues to grow in size and political clout.

 

Are you starting to connect the dots?

 

Now consider the fact the Obama administration, with the support of Planned Parenthood, advocated allocating millions of our tax dollars for the encouragement and performance of abortions abroad.  Personally I abhor the thought of my tax dollars paying for the destruction of human life whether it is at home or abroad.

 

With the unexpected announcement Friday that Supreme Court Justice David Souter is retiring, Obama is in a unique position to potentially replace up to three justices of the court during his term.

 

Look for the upcoming Supreme Court nomination process to include a “litmus test” regarding a candidate’s opinion on Row v. Wade, as well as an issue I believe will soon rise to the forefront - eugenics.  (Phase two of our government sponsored culture of death.)

 

Why eugenics?  Consider the absolutely shocking proposed House Bill currently in the Texas State legislator; HB 3318.

 

The Infanticide Bill would decriminalize infanticide of babies under one year old from being a capital murder offense punishable by life in prison or the death penalty, to 180 days to two years in jail and a fine not to exceed $10k <http://www.legis.state.tx.us/tlodocs/81R/impactstmts/html/HB03318HB.htm

post-partum depression.   A defendant would be eligible for this

“Or the effects of lactation following birth”.

 

Are they out of their minds?  A natural human response to birth, the act of producing the essence of life, mother’s milk, is a feasible justification for killing your baby?!  Have our representatives ever heard of the life enriching term adoption?

 

Are you still questioning my assertion our society has adopted A CULTURE OF DEATH?

 

Some dismiss my supposition that this culture of death we are indoctrinated with and encouraged to embrace is indeed a strategically disguised, well-executed war against our society. But the facts justify my concern.  For one, I fail to comprehend how a government of the people would advocate the death of its most innocent citizens.
Destroying a future generation is simply not a logical path to pursue if a government wishes to ensure the prolonged existence and success of its society.  If however and just for the sake of argument, there was a demonic policy in place to eliminate a society, self annihilation would be a brilliant strategy.

 

Perhaps this factual video depicting the ultimate demise of our western culture will cause you to consider my hypothesis.  Abortion destroys a society from within.  Why America, a robust society, the greatest nation in the history of mankind, would willingly destroy its offspring - its very hope for survival - is unimaginable.  We are indeed as a society engaging in the act of self genocide.

 

Over time, any culture with a diminishing birthrate will ultimately cease to exist.

We as a society are responsible for our culture’s future existence and although we may not be able to positively affect our birth rate immediately, we can reverse this culture of death.  It is time to act, to once again glorify and protect the sanctity of life.
