The NCDAS Editorials

NCDAS Is Back In The Battle 3/28/2010

Many of you know the reason NCDAS was silent for the past 8 months was due to my decision to run for the Texas House of Representatives.  We ran a strong grass roots campaign since announcing my candidacy back in the hot days of August 2009.  A campaign built around the concept of  “we the people” and one that I trust our founding fathers would have approved of.

It was an honest and above board campaign, funded with an average donation of $100.00 by hundreds of everyday citizens.  We shared our common sense conservative message by knocking on the doors of our neighbors.  A message we quickly discovered our constituents were hungry to hear.  A message delivered by 150 volunteers, many of whom would proudly identify themselves as Tea Party members.  The same group of average Americans the main stream media is consistently attempting to slander and minimize as a political force in contemporary politics.

Although we didn’t fare well in the primary, we did successfully put enough pressure on the 19 year incumbent that he abruptly announced his decision not to seek reelection.  My original goal of unseating the “too powerful to fall” RINO (Republican In Name Only) was accomplished.

Our campaign website StandWithWayne.com is still live and will remain so for the foreseeable future.  I encourage you to take a moment to see how the Tea Party played an intricate role in this election cycle by visiting the VIDEO section on the home page.

As a candidate, I enthusiastically presented my platform every opportunity I had.  A conservative platform whose issues were close to my heart and not determined by focus groups attempting to identify what would resonate with the voters.  The issues we addressed were based on my true beliefs, not the empty words often delivered by candidates that they consider appropriate and necessary to win an election.

The campaign is over and now it is time to return to NCDAS, where I can reestablish my passion to educate and motivate conservative principled individuals through my editorials.  My editorials will focus on the issues I believe are important to the future success and continued sovereignty of our country; limited government, the 2nd and 10th amendments, border protection, the sanctity of life and education reform. Although I am disappointed that I have not been afforded the opportunity to make a difference as a representative for the people of my district, I am confident that through my writings each of you will find my words thought provoking and hopefully motivating.

As in the past, NCDAS will continue to provide you with pertinent and timely information that will keep each of you engaged and most importantly vocal in local and in national politics.

What we are witnessing at this very moment in Washington DC substantiates my belief that now is the time to be engaged as our republic is under assault from within as never before in the history of our nation.  Now is the time to fight for our country, the greatest country ever known to man and the world’s last great hope for freedom and individual liberty.

I ask you, will we as American citizens stand up and fight or will we allow our hard fought freedoms to slip away due to apathy and ignorance?  We have been called upon to battle an emboldened tyrannical administration who expects us to lie down and accept a world void of the freedoms guaranteed by GOD.

Few generations have been challenged with the role of defending liberty and freedom.  It is imperative to recognize we are a generation that has been called upon to defend our country.  This is the hour of judgment for we are facing a constitutional crisis of unparalleled consequence.

I love our country and I believe American principles are worth sacrificing, fighting and dying for.  As a candidate I saw firsthand that every individual can indeed make a difference.  You can make a difference if you set your mind to do so.  I strongly encourage you to attend activist movements such as the Tea Party events, Town Halls as well as joining conservative clubs.  These forums are where we can turn the tide against the freedom eroding laws proposed by this administration.  I expect many rallies will be organized across the country leading up to the November elections.  There is power in numbers and you can help in building those numbers simply by attending these events.

Reversing course is not going to be easy; in fact I believe it is going to be very difficult.  The secular socialists have been strategizing and implementing their stealth agenda for decades now.  Unfortunately we as freedom loving Americans have all too often been asleep at the wheel.  The radicals of the 1960’s now wear suits and ties and have infiltrated our government.  Now we face nationalized health care, cap and trade and what I believe will be next attack on America as we know it, “comprehensive amnesty”.  Comprehensive will be a code word meaning amnesty for anyone and everyone.   Recognize their motivation as this is a guaranteed voting block for the Obama crowd.

It is time we destroy this radical agenda permanently and transform our government back to the original intent of the constitution.  It is freedom loving Americans such as ourselves who must lead our elected officials back to a government of the people and by the people.  We must stand up for liberty. We must stand up as patriots.  We must stand up, act up and speak up as silence is no longer an option.

Stand up America and fight..…. for all the world is watching and praying that we as a Judeo-Christian nation continue to be the shining light of freedom upon the mountaintop.

God bless America!
