Putting My Money Where My Mouth Is 3/31/09

 

Last week, NCDAS presented a frightening description of the Mexican drug cartel and our legislator’s lack of accountability in protecting our borders.*1 My interview with Rebecca Forest of IRCOT offered us a disturbingly clear picture as to the imminent and grave danger our country faces.

 

Several outstanding bills addressing American security and illegal immigration have been introduced in the Texas State Legislature; however we have just received word that State Affairs Chairman Burt Solomon’s staff has indicated that these immigration related bills won't be heard until April 21st or 28th.  That is simply too late for these bills to stand a chance at passage.  Our guess is that the Chairman is fully aware of that fact.

 

I promised you all that NCDAS would allocate our resources to this battle as I believe this is a fight we cannot afford to lose.  It’s time to put our so-called representative’s feet to the fire and inform the public what exactly is taking place in Austin.  For those NCDAS readers outside the great state of Texas, keep in mind our lack of border control affects the entire nation.  Open borders allow illegals and terrorists access to our entire nation.

 

IROCT and NCDAS have joined forces and purchased radio time on K-SKY from 8:00 am to 11:00 am commencing March 31st for one week. K-SKY can be heard on 660AM and on 92.9FM.  You may be familiar with the syndicated Mike Gallagher show which airs during this time slot.  His audience frequently voices their frustration with our weak representatives.  We hope our ad generates intelligent discussion and your demand for genuine democratic change is heard all the way to the capital of Austin.

 

NCDAS was launched in an effort to educate and encourage Americans to act when our freedoms and sovereignty are at risk.  My hope is this radio ad campaign plays a small but positive part in protecting our borders.

 

Many of our legislators will soon be running for reelection.  It is no longer acceptable to be coddled and fooled by the double speak our representatives have mastered.  Telling us one thing while on the campaign trail and voting differently in office.  The timing is critical and there is too much at stake to allow for business as usual.  It is time we hold their feet to the fire and demand the will of the people be enforced and no longer ignored.
